Princess Kate tipped to attend some royal events this summer – but there’s a caveat

The Princess of Wales could delight royal fans this summer by attending some events – but there is one condition.

Princess Kate is currently taking a break from royal engagements as she undergoes preventive chemotherapy for an undisclosed form of cancer.

The future queen shocked the nation last month when she announced that she has been diagnosed with cancer, following major abdominal surgery in January.

However, she remained positive and added that she is “well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal: my mind, body, and spirits.”

Kate’s announcement might have disappointed some fans who were longing to see their beloved royal back in action soon. However, she stated that she is looking forward to “being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery.”

At the time, Kensington Palace hinted that the princess may be keen to attend events as and when she feels able, in line with medical advice.

However, it clarified that this will not indicate a return to full-time duties yet.

Now GB News’ royal correspondent, Cameron Walker, said that we may be able to see Prince William’s wife “at some point” in the summer, health permitting.

He said, “Because of the princess’s cancer diagnosis, she is undergoing preventive chemotherapy at the moment.

“What I am hearing from those close to the Princess is that she may well decide to attend certain events if she feels up to it and if she’s keen to go.

“But in terms of a return to full-scale public duties and as a full-time working royal, I suspect that will take some time.

“But maybe we’ll see her at some point this summer. It just depends on how her treatment goes.”
