Meghan Markle ‘throws a b.o.m.bshell’ in everyone’s face

Prince Harry Details Meghan’s Struggle with Press, Camilla’s Controversial AdvicePrince Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” sheds light on the difficulties Meghan Markle faced upon entering the royal spotlight. The book reveals that in 2017, after being thrust into the media frenzy surrounding their relationship, Meghan sought guidance from Camilla, the then-Duchess of Cornwall.

Harry describes his frustration with the relentless tabloid coverage and his attempts to persuade his father, King Charles (then Prince of Wales), to intervene. However, these efforts proved unsuccessful.

Camilla’s advice, according to Harry, was twofold. Firstly, she downplayed the situation, suggesting it was a normal experience for royal newcomers and would eventually subside. She recounted her own past experience as a target of the media.

However, Harry interprets this as a dismissive comparison, implying Meghan was simply taking his place as the “bad guy” in the tabloids’ narrative.

Secondly, and more controversially, Camilla proposed a drastic solution: for Harry to become Governor-General of Bermuda. This, she believed, would remove them from the center of the media storm. Harry expresses skepticism, perceiving this as a convenient way to sideline him and Meghan.

The book leaves the reason for this drastic suggestion unclear. The memoir does mention a historical precedent – discussions in the 1970s about Charles becoming Governor-General of Australia, which were ultimately rejected by Queen Elizabeth II due to his unmarried status.

Harry’s account highlights the strain Meghan faced adapting to royal life and the perceived lack of support within the family. It also raises questions about the motivations behind Camilla’s unorthodox advice.
